Operating Portable from Carova Beach NC

I operate portable from the top of the sand dunes at Carova Beach, NC each year when we vacation to the Outer Banks. Hope to put you in the log !!

For those of you not familiar with the area, Carova Beach is an isolated area at the very northernmost end of the Outer Banks that is only accessible by a 4 four wheel drive vehicle. There is no commercial development at Carova Beach, just residential houses and the Carova Beach Vounteer Fire and Rescue Department.

Carova is a combination of the words Carolina and Virgina (CARO + VA). Carova is most famous for being the home to the "Banker Horses" that are descended from Spanish Mustangs that have roamed the area for hundreds of years.
